Crepe Paper Roses

The children made these beautiful crepe paper roses during our morning center time. My co-teacher Ms. Julie guided the children to make these flowers.

CVC Word Building Pocket Board

This is a word building activity. I used foam board and laminated sheet to prepare this activity. The laminated sheets were glued with hot glue. Students practice building words for the pictures. This activity helps them to strengthen their awareness of first, middle and last sound.

Here I used a foam board and put two strips of Velcro, loop side. The cards have the hook side pasted at the back. The students use this activity during the morning center time to practice reading CVC words and matching to the correct picture.

 

Water Cycle- Kindergarten Science Lesson

Today we discussed the water cycle during our science lesson. My co-teacher Ms. Julie prepared this display. Students put the cutouts as we discussed.

Word Families Bulletin Board (CVC)

Here I have used accents from Carson Dellosa to create this bulletin board. Students can use it to read the family words using a pointer. This area can also be used for the ‘Write the Room’ literacy center.

Students drew their family on the apple cutouts and decorated them. Then we displayed all the apples on a tree with the title OUR FAMILY TREE.

We start our day with this prayer during circle time. Initially the teacher leads the prayer. As the children get familiar and learn most of it, we pick two children to lead the prayer every morning.
